CV's Orchestra, Band and Choir - All Going to State Competitions in May
Again this year, our students at CV are going to compete at the State level, across all three disciplines of music. Getting State recognition for their abilities last year, this year's students are continuing the tradition by stepping up and adding their performances to CV’s Performing Arts history.
Thursday, May 9th, at OSU, the CV orchestra will be competing against the best high school orchestras in the State of Oregon. George Thomson is once again leading his students in this competition, hoping to get the recognition they have earned from the CV and Corvallis community expanded to the State level. Building on the CV history of the past, Mr. Thomson and his students are building their own history, with a display of talent and musicianship that rivals youth symphonies and orchestras in larger cities.
