AP Testing - CV Library Closures (for dates & times, see below)
The CV library will be closed during specific times on days between Wednesday, May 9th and Tuesday, May 15th; see below for specific times. If your class is using the Library Computer Lab, please be respectful of test-takers and enter and exit the computer lab quietly through the AV door (D-53) during testing.   

CV TECH CLUB - Winning at Oregon Game Project Challenge 
Did you see the front page of the Gazette this last Thursday?  Then you know CV had a team going to Chemeketa Community College, in Salem, to compete in the state-wide competion for game programming on Saturday.  Raiders Team made CV proud by taking one of the top awards at the competition, even as a "rookie" team attending for the first time!  Not winning "Best of Show" competition, Team members agreed this award was probably the best next award they could win.  If you would like to know more about what was involved, and how these students contributed, check out their Website here!  Want more information about the OGPC?  Check out their Website here!  Thanks for representing CV so well, "Tech" Raiders!

Corvallis Repertory Singers' Fundraising Event for High School Music & Theater Programs  
Next Tuesday, May 15th at 7:30, in the CHS auditorium the Corvallis Repertory Singers are putting on a benefit concert for the CVHS and CHS choirs and the school district theaters. They have invited the high school choirs to sing on a few numbers with them, too! This was originally scheduled the Thursday before Spring Break, but was cancelled due to snow. If you purchased tickets for the March Event, those tickets will be honored. We are expecting a very large audience, so if you would like to avoid a long line at the box office, it is recommended that you purchase tickets at repsing.org or at one of the outlets listed on the poster linked here. Crescent Valley Choir, Band and Orchestra winning at State Competition 
The last week, all three of the Music Programs at CV went to State Competition! In Ms Jane's words: "Here is what resulted from/during these performances:Great bonding/teamwork; intense and focused listening/communication; ownership of their own ensemble; happiness for hard work and outstanding performances; emotional moments; and leadership from each and everyone. Here is what resulted at state: Choir took 2nd; Band took 2nd; and Orchestra took 1st. Congratulations to all the students! They really performed beautifully and represented admirably!" She added a note to the rest of the CV and Corvallis community: "Thank you to all of you for your support of these wonderful students and for their passion of music!" Come out Tuesday night to continue helping support this great program for our great students! (See above for more info.)

Jackson-Frazier “Stream of Consciousness Tour”, Sat, May 19, 2012, 1:00-5:00pm
