At this time the College Board is monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and relying on each test center to make the decision whether to close. Closure of testing sites is based on guidance each test center receives from public health officials, state and city authorities, and local education leaders.
Governor Kate Brown issued guidance that regular school instruction be cancelled beginning March 16, 2020. She also recommended that all non-essential school-associated gatherings and group activities be cancelled. Following this guidance, the Corvallis School District is planning to close our testing center at Crescent Valley High School.
According to the College Board website higher education institutions have been notified of the testing site closures and they are also closely monitoring the rapidly evolving coronavirus situation. If you already applied to one or more higher education institutions, you may wish to reach out to them directly for additional guidance.
Registered students will receive a refund of all registration fees, and can register for a future test date.
The SAT test coordinator will work with the College Board to arrange a makeup date. You will be contacted as soon as a makeup test is scheduled.
