Link Crew applications are now available in the counseling office! If you are a current sophomore or junior and are interested in becoming a Link Leader for next year’s incoming freshmen, then pick up an application today! Link Leaders are in charge of Freshman Orientation and helping incoming freshmen feel welcomed! Applications are due Tuesday, May 16 by 3 PM in the counseling office. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Serna (B5) or contact Mr. Cox (counseling office).

CV Library will be CLOSED for AP testing the following days & times:
Wednesday (5/17) - CLOSED ALL DAY
Thursday (5/18) - testing all morning; library opens at ~1:10 PM
Friday (5/19) - library closes at 11:15 AM; testing all afternoon

Seniors – Is Your College Now Account in Order? Seniors should check their LBCC transcript to ensure that all earned College Now credits appear on the transcript. Visit www.linnbenton.edu and follow the link to the WebRunner. Any discrepancies should be reported to Carol Beamer. Once a student graduates from CVHS, LBCC cannot retroactively post CN credits to the LBCC transcript. Remember: College Now credits are accepted at all of the OUS schools and at many other in-state and out-of-state schools.

LBCC will be offering free summer academies in CAD Drafting, Welding/Non-Destructive Testing, Mechatronics, and Machine Tool. Registration is now open at http://linnbenton.edu/summeracademies and will close June 16.

Junior/Sophomore Students and Parents - Monday, May 22 from 7-9 PM at Jesuit High School in Portland - Join admission representatives from Emory University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Notre Dame, University of Virginia, and Washington University in St. Louis for a group presentation. Learn more about academic programs, student life, admission, and financial aid at these institutions. There will be time for questions and to meet representatives at the end. Junior/Sophomore Students and Parents - INFORMATION SESSION in Portland on Wednesday, May 24 – Presented by Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Rice, and University of Chicago. Join these representatives to learn more about the selective admissions process, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus life. Save the Date - Senior Awards Program: The Annual Senior Awards Program is scheduled for Monday, June 5 at 7 PM in the CV auditorium. Near the end of May a letter will be mailed to the parents/guardians of all seniors who will be called up on stage to receive an award that night. The awards presented that evening will include community and private awards/scholarships, departmental awards, activity/athletic awards, academic awards, and special school awards. Concluding the program will be an announcement of all seniors who have received a scholarship from the college/university they plan to attend.  Please realize that the time constraints of this program do not allow us to recognize all accomplishments, awards, honors, recognitions, and scholarships received by our graduating seniors.

Dial-A-Bus Jim Landkamer-John Fisher Scholarship:
$1,000. Open to Benton County high school senior who will be furthering his/her education at a two- or four-year college or university and who has shown a commitment to volunteerism in his/her community. Application available in the Career Center. 5/20/2017

Foundation for College Christian Leaders: Award varies. Mid-Valley Baseball Umpires Association: $1,000. Applicants must have played at least 3 seasons of high school, one of which was their senior season, played within the MVBUA service area, and have verifiable plans to attend college the academic year after their senior year of high school. Racine Olson Injury Scholarship: $500. For Seniors in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington who plan on either attending a 4-year college or 2-year community college.
